Our little rickety bridge is getting a lot of publicity lately. There was a 4 News Van when we got home from work. The river was actually a lot higher yesterday morning. I keep fantasising about if the bridge did get washed out and how exciting that would be to be stranded and not able to go to work. Eloise Curtis said that in all her years living in Woodland, she's seen a lot worse. I'll keep dreaming.

On the way home
Every year our lovely north fork of the Provo River sees some extra spring runoff. This year, the snow pack has been extremely high and it got past 80 degrees for the last several days. It's also supposed to rain tonight. Luckily there is a backway that runs over to Woodland. But it's only ATV accessible. We once took the Subaru and I thought we were going to die. By the way, the river is only 4 feet higher than it should be, but it sure looks like more.
Here's the story from the news. I think my video is better. What do you think?

Satuday at the Zoo
Is is just me or has Hogle Zoo gotten smaller? Maybe it's because I haven't been there since I was 12. So maybe it's just me who's gotten bigger. Anyhow, that's where we went for McKenzie's Birthday. McKenzie is Bevan's niece who just turned 11. I remember going to Hogle Zoo when I was her age and being entirely focused on finding the leopards. I was obsessed with leopards. I had a stuffed leopard growing up. Going to the zoo last week brought back all these memories. I automatically wanted to find the leopards! I didn't want to drag the whole group just to find them, so I would just have to be patient. Turns out they didn't have any African leopards. They only had this one "Amur Leopard" from Asia. Huh. I guess it was the most endangered cat in the world and there's only 40 of them left in the wild and blah blah blah. I wanted a real leopard and I didn't know why! Anyway, they didn't have any leopards and the world is still turning, so I guess all is well. Here's a picture of the "substitute."

Here are some good pictures of the rest of the gang. Cousin Michelle was there with her family so she played photographer. Thanks Michelle! Bryan, Bevan's brother, is father to four awesome kids: McKenzie, Bryson, Peyton, and Lexi. Thanks to Beverly and Lloyd for inviting us. We had a blast!
