Bryce Canyon

We’re kind of at this sweet spot with Tommy old enough to take care of himself and Anna is not old enough to have a real job. Great, let’s go camping again! With a parks pass that was ready to expire, it made sense to go to Bryce Canyon. It's been a few years.  We ended up booking at Ruby’s Inn Campground because they have camp sinks, nice showers, and a heated pool. I've raised my standards in my old age... but I also love that place, except when you’re trying to find a site in the dark, which we were. The weather was supposed to be sketchy on Saturday, but ended up being perfect. We hiked in the morning and swam all afternoon. We got bored with the Campground pool so headed over to the Hotel pool. Luckily they let us bounce back and forth. As long as the boys have their squirt guns, they’re entertained for hours. We toured “Old Bryce Canyon”, ate ice cream, road the shuttle, made s’mores with our fake fire, and took lots of pictures. I think we’re good with Bryce Canyon for a few more years!

Hello Sterling, Goodbye Sarah!

I mentioned in my last post how most of our family get-togethers are weddings and mission farewells/ homecomings these days.  Vanessa had both a mission farewell AND homecoming!  How efficient.

We decided the "least-hard" way to get to Pocatello by 9am on a Sunday was to just wake up at 6am and book it!  I thought the kids would sleep the whole way... they made it about 30 minutes.  It was still a good trip and we made it in plenty of time.  Sterling and Sarah gave amazing talks.  I mean, wow!  How can I get my kids turn out like that when they grow up?!

The after party at Vanessa's house was a blast.  We stayed until all the food was gone:  breakfast burritos, muffins, cinnamon rolls, fruit and fluff!  Okay, maybe there was a little bit of fruit leftover.  I'm so excited for Sarah and new adventures in Chile teaching the gospel.  She'll do so well.  And I'm excited for Sterling and starting this next chapter.  Utah State is alwasy a good idea.  GO AGGIES!  Uh, I mean, just don't beat BYU please.

Bentley gets MARRIED!

Once the insane family reunion was over and Cambree had the chance to get to know ALL of us, she still wanted to marry Bentley.  Good thing!

It was a perfect day to get married!  It wasn't until 2pm, so that was nice.  The kids all hung out in the waiting area while the adults went to the sealing.  It was beautiful, it was peaceful, it wasn't too long.  We all met up outside for pictures before heading to Oakley for food and a party!  I loved the venue they found.  The red barn paired well with the country setting and soft-serve ice cream bar.  Dallin still claims he had 15 bowls of ice cream!  I wouldn't know, I didn't see him all night.  They had dancing, they cut the cake, they took off in Cambree's tastifully-trashed Audi.  It's fun to be in this phase where our family get-togethers consist of mission farewells and weddings, evolving from baby blessings and baptisms.  They're all growing up so fast!
