We just love this tradition of going to
Pocatello to spend time with Vanessa, Trent, and their kids! The
weather was amazing and the food was scrumptious. My kids just LOVE
all the different toys to play with and trashed the basement 3
different times. Macie loved giving Drew rides on her hoverboard,
and Bevan even got the hang of it too!
The Philadelphia Eagles played the New
England Patriots. I don’t remember the score…but the Eagles won,
and there was an amazing trick play towards the end of the game that
added to their glory. There you go.
The next morning, Vanessa and I went on
a hike to the top of Chinese Peak. I originally wanted to go
cross-country skiing… but the snow was scant everywhere! This was
a good substitute. It was so warm and sunny at the bottom, but
transitioned to cold and windy at the peak, not to mention the crusty snow
that our feet kept falling though! It was a good hike. We then
lunched at Café Rio and headed back home. The kids ended up missing
the day from school. It’s funny; I used to think that when the
kids got into school all day, it would be hard to miss a Monday for
our trips. Now, I just don’t care. It’s a short day anyway.
Anna’s teacher once said that if she ever had to miss a day,
Mondays would be ideal. I think this tradition will stick!
