Easter Conference

I felt is was a great time to get caught up.  I have pictures, I have thoughts, I have a nasty cold that's keeping me home from church, and I have 2 1/2 hours of silence.  I always wonder how I can catch a cold, especially when my kids don't!  Usually it's the other way around.  Who knows where these germs come from.  A handshake at the meeting I was at Wednesday morning? The shopping cart at Winco?  Guess I'll never know.  Too bad we're leaving for our "mud-season" roadtrip tomorrow!  I know I can toughen through it, but it's Bevan I worry about.  He has a low tolerance for illness.  A typical camping trip can turn into 2 days in a local hotel.  It wouldn't be a first.

Last weekend was General Conference and Easter.  We were so lucky to have Paul and Stefanie visiting too!  We all stayed at the cabin together Saturday and watched conference.  It was weird for Anna not to have any cousins to play with.  Not your typical "gang at the cabin".  Everybody showed up Sunday for Easter dinner and candy and there was plenty going on!  I loved Missy's bunny cake and Allen's cinnamon rolls.  The conference talks were amazing and I've started re-listening to them on my drives.  You always catch something new!

Sprouts

I'm very proud of my babies!  Their getting so big.
Oh, my kids are getting pretty big too.
It was finally time to start the zinnias... and they caught up to everything else within 3 weeks!  I've been watching Dallin like a hawk!  He was my greatest fear for my little sprouts!  But as long as they're kept in the windowsill, he pretty much leaves them alone.  I guess the novelty wore off.

I finally bought some "wall of water" for my tomatoes and peppers.  I don't know why I haven't done these before.  Last year, with starting peppers inside, I STILL didn't get red ones until August.  I'll try anything to get red peppers earlier.  Anna will be so thrilled.  Those are her favorite.  We were at IFA the other day and Anna really wanted a baby chick.  I've got to admit, they were really cute, but easy to pass on.  I'm not at that stage in my life.  You know, the chicken stage!  Everyone gets there!  Right now, these little plants are my pets and I promised Bevan they would be OUT of our bedroom by May 1st.  Promises promises....
