A Mid-30's Birthday

I think March is the absolute best time to have a birthday. It’s just starting to get warm in the valley, but there’s still snow in the mountains.  I got totally spoiled this year!  Nora, Vanessa, and I met up for a glorious day skiing at Deer Valley the previous day. It’s so awesome that they come from so far and have to do so much arranging with their own kids to make this possible. We met up with Bevan for a while and skied as many groomers as possible. We avoided the trees as much as possible, especially with all the stumps and rocks.

The next day (my actual birthday) I had lunch at my visiting teacher’s house and Drew got to play on her huge bouncy house in the basement. There were some other friends there and it made for a great afternoon. Before I knew it, it was time to start getting ready for dinner at Seafood Buffet! I love this tradition! We left all 4 kids and dined in peace and elegance. They brought back king crab legs, but were missing my favorite grilled duck and also the sushi. For desert: crème brulee all the way. I ate way too much and didn’t even miss not having a birthday cake this year.
