We are so lucky that cousin Ty is playing baseball in Utah again! Dallin was speechless when I told him that Ty plays baseball and actually gets paid for it. Coolest cousin ever! We drove to Ogden the night before he got officially traded, to watch him play against his future team. Confusing, right?! It was nice to catch up with Tina and learn all the ins and outs and politics of playing in the Pioneer League. The game was super long, but the kids didn’t mind. I bribed them with ice cream, snow cones, and churros. Tommy and Drew disappeared to the playground for a few hours and Dallin spent a good amount of time on the edge of the field, collecting high-fives from players as they walked back and forth from the bullpen. The long game ended with a tiebreaker “homerun derby”, which was as exciting as it sounds! His team won and we can’t wait to watch Ty play again.

Back to School!!!
This was the fastest summer ever! I feel like we had enough fun, but I do wish we had gone camping maybe one more time or spent an extra weekend at the cabin. Oh well! The kids are getting bigger and it’s getting easier and easier to have fun with them.
Anna is now in middle school! Her favorite classes are art, drama, and archery. She takes a bus. She’s home by 3pm. They removed all the lockers in the school, which I feel is a great misfortune. Lockers and middle school just go together!
Dallin is in 4th grade, Drew is in 1st grade, and Tommy is in pre-k! I tried to get a good picture of them together, but Dallin refused to smile. During the photo shoot, a truck got pulled over on the other side of the street for speeding in a school zone. The flashing lights got the boys excited and I was finally able to get a good picture. Why does that situation make them smile? Can anyone explain it to me?! Please see the before and after:
