Farewell Winter!

It's once again time for our annual "mud season" trip. Every year half the town of Park City heads for warmer weather for a few weeks while the snow melts. This year, our options were San Diego or Moab. We chose the less-expensive option, besides I heard that San Diego can be hit-or-miss in April. If it's bad weather in Moab, we wouldn't feel as bad, only travelling a fraction of the distance. Luckily we chose to leave THIS week instead of LAST week. Whew! What bad weather that might have been! The desert should be nice. I've spent the last several weeks convincing Bevan that backpacking without a fishing pole can still be fun! He's not convinced yet. At least the scenery will be good!

Ski Days

Bevan and I wanted to spend our last official day off on the slopes. These pictures were not all taken that day, but throughout the season. I have mixed feelings about the end of winter. I'll miss the white snow, blue skies, and green pine trees. I'll miss that feeling of coasting down steep groomers first thing in the morning. I'll miss the feeling of eating a ridiculous amount of carbs, and being OK with it. What I won't miss is driving in blizzards, snowblowing, cold feet, and my red, wind-burned face. So long snow! The sooner you leave, the sooner we can start our summer adventures!

Going for a ride in the Gondola.

4 skis, 2 employee season passes, and 1 perfect blue bird day!

Just another day at the office!

Lift mechanic, Gus, skiing off into the clouds.

A picture-perfect day! How about a pose?
