March...

I thought that by the beginning of March, the snow would start to taper off. For documentation, I went around and took a bunch of pictures the first day of the month. It’s insane! Our “base depth” is 31 inches, and WAY deeper around the deck and on the north side. Our soft-bristle push broom broke back in December and I was putting off buying another one.  You cannot clean the car off without it!!!  I finally bought another one this month, and now it will stop snowing.  I tried to keep up with sidewalk shoveling and roof raking, especially during ice dam season! I finally had to take a hammer and chisel to some stubborn areas, but slept better that night, knowing there would be absolutely no water seepage. I wish I took some “before and after” pics of that escapade!

There was also a lot more cross-country skiing, which will always be my first love!  Doing it with friends has it's social benefits, but a solo sweat-fest up Pine Canyon Road has more mental and physical benefits than any other exercise out there!  It's also fun to see how deep the snow is...

The highlight of the month was finally teaching Tommy how to ski. It wasn’t that bad actually. He picked it up rather fast. He was off the edgy-wedgy after 2 days. He’ll be in that beginner stage for a while, but the worst part is over. We still haven’t skied as a whole family yet… I’m sure that will be interesting!
