Lagoon!

It doesn’t seem like we’ve done anything fun this summer. Other than the family reunion, we haven’t even been camping! That’s pretty lousy for us. Where did the summer go? We should make time for fun, right? I also had phone issues and lost a lot of photos, but mostly little things like bike rides and park mornings, which still stinks to loose even little memories. Oh well. Fresh start!

One fun activity we had to wait on was an evening at Lagoon. Allen is super generous and let us have his family pass for September. It’s “Frightmares” and only open on weekends, but the only option for us was Friday night. We had to make the most of it and squeeze every minute of fun in! We stopped at Nora’s house first, dropped off Drew and Tommy, picked up Addie, Paige, Issac, and Mckay, and got to Lagoon right when they opened. It’s a good thing because “kiddy land” got crowded fast. Bevan’s back has been giving him issues lately so he volunteered to stay in kiddy land while the older gals went off to the pukey rides. What a great guy! For dinner, I went to get pizza. Blaze Pizza was right across the freeway at Station Park and can be pre-ordered from your phone. It was super fast and we were all eating in no time! I couldn’t over-do it though. More pukey rides! The lines were not bad at all. Dallin loved the bumper cars, Anna loved BomBora rollercoaster, I loved anything fast and rickety, especially the white roller coaster, which I found more terrifying than ever! I also realized that I’m not that young anymore. By the end, I only had a subtle headache but my neck was killing me. It rained a little, off and on, but not enough to kill the fun. We brought 2 cars, thinking the littles would quit early and need to go back to Nora’s, but I was wrong! All 4 kids stuck it out until the bitter end, 11pm! Dallin could’ve gone longer and spent all night riding bumper cars. We definitely packed it in. Thanks, Allen! That was memorable!

Fall-ish

I love it when the colors start changing, the nights are colder, the garden produce starts tapering, and the kids go to bed more willingly because it’s actually dark out! The only thing not winding down is my work! It was the busiest September ever for me! Usually, designs and bids have been dealt out by summertime, but there was a crazy rush in early fall for people that want to be first on the list for spring, and some real hopefuls that wanted the work still done this year! Goodness. So I got a little behind and had to take work home with me sometimes, which reminded me why I cannot ever work from home in the first place.

I was able to sneak in some short hikes and runs on the trails in the state park, whose maples were vibrant red! It is definitely worth documenting!
