These kids are so stinkin' cute!

I really need to put these out there, for THEIR sakes! I forget sometimes to stop and just capture the moment. I’ve been trying to be better, capturing the every-day cuteness and all the funny things they do.
They really love eating ice cream in cones. Drew usually eats his cone first, which is why he doesn’t get much ice cream in the first place.

Dallin is fascinated with bugs. What 4-year-old isn’t? It’s the closest thing to a pet he’ll have for a while. This is how he takes his bugs for “walks”. So adorable!

After bath time, Anna and Dallin just need a little time to stay bundled up on the floor. Sometimes I forget about them and they’ll fall asleep.

Drew still gets into everything! This is what happens if I leave our bathroom unlocked…

I don’t know what’s going to happen when new little brother arrives. I’ve enjoyed our cute little family tremendously! It will be interesting adding another. Will he be like Dallin? Will he be like Drew? Will he be like Anna?! Blonde hair or brown hair? (Yes, most likely blonde. Who are we kidding?!)

Swiss Days 2017

Well, it’s all over for the year! Swiss Days was absolutely crazy! They had to start charging for parking in the major lots, so there was so many more cars downtown, trying to find free places to park! Somebody offered me money to park in the vacant lot behind me. I was sad to tell them it wasn’t my property, but I wish the owner hadn’t blocked it off. He wasn’t there anyway! Friday was my big day of prepping for the 10k, printing out bib labels and putting stickers on mugs. I let Bevan go work extra shifts in the Taco booth… mostly so I didn’t have to. It was so hot!!! I let extra kids come to my house that morning, which slowed me down more than it should have. Oh well, it all got done! Nora, Addie, Paige, Ellie, and McKay (to entertain Dallin) showed up later that afternoon and we all partied until way too late! I only had adrenaline running through my veins, so it’s not like I slept anyway!

Saturday morning came way too fast! Bevan left at 4am to lay out the course. I was awake, going over a million tasks in my head. We actually did so much prep work the day before, there wasn’t a whole lot to do! It was still so nice to have plenty of volunteers. That’s one thing this whole experience has taught me: how to rely on others. Bevan and I couldn’t do it all on our own! The whole thing went off without a hitch (except an old guy in his car trying to plow over the runners on the starting line). Sure there were a few hiccups and a few whiners about the timing, but it ran great. We had barely enough mugs and kids shirts, but we had enough! We were all ready to be out of there by 9:15, because I just don’t like being hot! We had breakfast, watched a few minutes of the parade, and took back all our stuff to the supply tent. That’s the best thing about being in charge of the 10k, it’s all over before lunch!

Later that day, Beverly and Lloyd showed up for some more swiss days fun. I was ready to go back to the square by then, to eat dinner and walk around the booths. We enjoyed the evening and ALL the departing traffic! So long Swiss Craze!
